Star jockey Jamie Kah is set to make a winning return on a Ciaron Maher and David Eustace-trained runner at Wednesday’s Sandown meeting.
Herald Sun form analyst Brad Waters runs the rule over Wednesday’s Sandown Hillside meeting.
PACIFIC RUBY (Race 4 No.9 – $2.60)
Far too good for her rivals when resuming in heavy ground at Moe. Steps up in class for this but is capable of winning again.
LAURION (Race 1 No.4 – $8)
Laurion hit the line hard when not far away at Bendigo last time. Improving type that could break through for a win at Sandown.
FERAGO (Race 3 No.4 – $2.40)
Just missed when up in class on the Lakeside track last time out but impressed with three wins over this trip prior. Can bounce back, especially if the track is heavy.
VITTORIOSA (Race 7 No.15 – $8)
Vittoriosa rolled forward and was outsprinted late over 1600m last time out but the step to 1800m could suit the mare. She’s a solid each-way chance.
NOTHING SILLY (Race 2 No. 7 – $14)
Nothing Silly worked home fairly in inferior ground at Geelong but he wasn’t far away in Saturday grade in runs before that. He can show up at odds.
Damien Oliver resumes from a break at Sandown with three rides on Wednesday. CHOPIN (Race 2 No.2 – $7), RAVAGED AWARD (Race 4 No.5 – $11), HOPKINS (Race 7 No.7 – $15).
