Star hoop Jamie Kah won’t be the only top jockey returning to boost the riding ranks at Sandown on Wednesday.

Jamie Kah won’t be the only champion jockey to return from a break at Wednesday’s Sandown Hillside meeting.

Star jockey Damien Oliver will also be back in action at Sandown.

Kah had a month off following last month’s Stradbroke Handicap meeting in Brisbane while Oliver headed for a three-week break after the June 18 fixture at Flemington.

Oliver celebrated his 50th birthday on June 22.

The 14-time Scobie Breasley medallist has three rides at Sandown with Oliver adopting a conservative approach to his return by accepting bookings at 59kg and above.

Godolphin will provide Oliver with his first ride back on Chopin in the second race of the day before he pilots Ravaged Award for the Leon and Troy Corstens camp in race four.

Oliver’s day will conclude with the booking on the Busuttin and Young-trained Hopkins in the second last event.

Bookies rated Chopin as Oliver’s best chance of a win on Wednesday, installing the two-year-old as a $7 chance in early betting.
